Overall Role:
The Assistant Corporate Development Manager will work closely with and support the Corporate Development Manager in managing the team’s day-to-day operations, developing corporate relationships, and enhancing donor engagement initiatives.
This role will also oversee system enhancements to the Donor Relationship Management (DRM) system and supervise a small team to ensure smooth execution of fundraising activities and corporate partnerships.
Major Responsibilities:
Support to Corporate Development Manager:
- Act as the primary assistant to the Corporate Development Manager, providing support in the formulation and implementation of strategies aimed at identifying and cultivating relationships with major donors, corporates, charitable foundations, and trusts.
- Support the Corporate Development Manager in overseeing fundraising programs, administrative duties, and departmental operations.
Corporate Relations and Donor Engagement:
- Assist in strengthening corporate contacts and expanding the donor base through targeted relationship-building efforts.
- Manage and supervise monthly donation plans and projects, ensuring alignment with the Kuk’s goals.
Funding Proposals:
- Assist with preparing and presenting compelling funding proposals to major donors, corporations, charitable foundations, and trusts.
- Work with PLK’s service units to develop and implement corporate partnership initiatives, ensuring they are aligned with the Kuk’s vision.
Donor Relationship Management (DRM) System:
- Monitor the Donor Relationship Management (DRM) system, ensuring it supports the Kuk’s donor engagement strategies.
- Initiate and lead system enhancements in the DRM to improve data tracking, donor segmentation, and personalized communication.
- Conduct data mining and analysis as well as provide regular reports to identify prospective donors and assess fundraising trends, supporting the Senior Management’s decision-making process.
Fundraising Events and Corporate Engagement:
- Promote and support fundraising events, particularly those targeted at corporate sponsors and partners.
- Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies and promotional materials aimed at corporate and major donors.
Requirements:
- A recognized degree in Business Administration / Marketing / Communications / or related disciplines
- At least 6 years’ experience preferably in fund-raising or marketing
- Good understanding of corporate needs / orientation in the charity field with excellent analytical, problem solving and project management skills. Good connection with corporate is an advantage
- Good at proposal writing and ability to explain complex issues and present proposals in appealing and concise manner
- Experience in corporate relationship and data base management in charitable organization is an advantage
- Innovative, mature, sociable and meticulous
- Able to work independently for multiple tasks and under pressure
- Good command of both English and Chinese
