Education Camp

The Pak Tam Chung Holiday Camp in Sai Kung and Tai Tong Holiday Camp in Yuen Long have designed a series of education camp activities with different themes for students to experience learning in the camp's natural outdoor environment.

These exciting and adventurous activities will develop the students ability at an individual and personal level, and allow them to take on greater challenges socially and academically.

The Outdoor Education Camp will:

let students live in the camp with a social environment of miniature scale.
help teachers observe and understand their students' development in terms of personal aspirations, psychological behaviors and social skills.
allow students to appreciate their environment and natural surroundings.
provide opportunities for students to be independent, and exercise self-discipline.
develop team spirit and harness leadership skills.

Education camps take place between September and June (excluding Sundays and Public Holidays). We run:

3 Day / 2 night education camp for secondary schools and primary schools
- Monday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Friday (If Wednesday is a Public Holiday, then it may be changed to Thursday to Saturday at the discretion of the camp)

Pak Tam Chung Holiday Camp education camp timetable for primary schools and secondary schools (only available in Chinese)

5 Day / 4 Night education camp (primary schools only)
- Monday to Friday (If Monday is a Public Holiday, then it may be changed to Tuesday to Saturday at the discretion of the camp)

Details for the “Outdoor Education Camp Scheme”

Education Bureau Subsidy

Primary and secondary schools can apply for subsidy from the Education Bureau to organize an Outdoor Education Camp. Please contact the Officer-In-Charge (Outdoor Education Camp), Sports Team, Education Bureau at 2762 2538 for details.
Special schools can apply for subsidy from the Ho Tung Fund, please contact the Fund directly for details.
