Altar of Kwan Ti

• The Po Leung Kuk tradition of worshipping of Kwan Ti can be traced back to late 19th century when the organisation was founded.

• In 1896, during the occasion of the opening of the Po Leung Kuk headquarters on Po Yan Street, Sheung Wan, a famous middleman merchant guild donated an lacquer altar to Po Leung Kuk.

• During the relocation to Causeway Bay, the altar was brought along and has retained its purpose for more than 120 years. It is one of the oldest items found in Po Leung Kuk.
