Fence Wall
- When construing the Po Leung Kuk headquarters, bamboos made of glazed tiles were chosen to as the wall encompassing the site.
The base for the bamboos were made of shanghai plaster, a type of cement plaster emerged in East Asia and commonly found in 1930s architecture.
The 1930s saw the rise of Chinese Renaissance Architectural style, which sought to combine traditional Chinese architecture with Western construction technology to create a modern interpretation of national architecture.
Bamboo walls created an enclosed and relaxed area for children living in the Kuk to play in the garden with adequate privacy.
