Organization Overview:
Po Leung Kuk is a well-established charitable organization in Hong Kong, serving the local community for nearly 148 years. The Kuk provides multifaceted and quality social, educational, youth, recreational, cultural services and medical and integrated health services to all ages in the community through its over 300 service units. It attends to more than 2,700,000 visits for services per year in the past 3 years with about 45,000 students of its affiliated schools. We are now inviting high caliber candidates to apply for the below position.
Head of Youth Affairs Department (Ref no.: HYAD)
Key Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer;
- Responsible for the overall management, strategic planning and development of the Youth Affairs Department;
- Explore new service initiatives, prepare proposals, and liaise with external business associates and funding organizations for collaboration;
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as required.
Our Requirements:
The appointee should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
- Recognized university degree or above, with preference given to candidates majoring in Social Work;
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, preferably in sizable Non-Governmental Organizations and/or related government departments, including at least 7 years in a senior managerial role;
- Responsible, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic, with strong interpersonal and leadership skills;
- Skilled in management, collaboration, policy development and implementation;
- Experienced in budget control and financial forecasting; and
- Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese, with good command of Putonghua.
