Kindergarten Social Work Services
The Kindergarten School Social Work Service adheres to the principle of “Early Identification and Intervention”, ensuring children, parents and schools receive comprehensive care and support.
All-round support child care services: Children-oriented, aiming to facilitate healthy physical and mental development of children by conducting a range of activities and counselling services.
Holistic care approach in parent education: Family-oriented, implementing parent education by proactively communicate with the family, helping parents understand their children's needs at different developmental stages, acquire the appropriate and positive parenting skills; and assist parents to relieve emotional stress and establish mutual help network through emotional support and counselling services.
Full cooperation to school-based assistance: School-oreinted, providing schools and kindergarten teachers with professional consultation and training services, striving to create a caring learning environment with the school.
Counselling and referral services: In response to children development and family needs, the service aims to identify cases in need in early stage with professional counseling services, and refer to external professional support services or community resources if necessary.
Parental education and support services: Strengthen parental support, foster home-school cooperation, organize various parenting educational activities including parent workshops, parent groups, parent-child activities and volunteer training.
Crisis handling and intervention: Set up crisis supporting team to assist in handling crisis and high-risk cases/incidents, such as suspected child abuse, serious accidents and family conflicts.
