With the concept of integrated education, the programme provides training and care to children with mild developmental disabilities with a view to facilitating their future integration into the mainstream education as well as in the society. 

Special Child Care Workers customize individual education plan for the students to achieve their best potential. Services include free speech therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and clinical psychological counselling services.

Referrals can be made by social workers or staff of rehabilitation service units to the Central Referral System for Rehabilitation Services of the Social Welfare Department.
