Parent-Child Sex Education Story-Telling Session

Objectives:

• Enhance children’s understanding on the important concepts of child sexual assault and the private parts of our bodies.
• Let children learn to distinguish between good and bad contacts as well as the methods dealing with bad contacts.

Content:   

• Through story sharing, children can learn about different parts of the body, especially the personal private parts.
• Through games, children learn to distinguish between good and bad contacts and also practice how to dela with bad contacts.
• Through the parent-child handicraft session, parents learnt the skills to talk about sex with their children, which helps equip parents skills to prepare for and implement sex education for their child and help their child to establish a healthy sexual atiitude.

Highlights of the Event:

 

The speaker shared with parents the important concepts of child sexual abuse and suggestions on implementing sex education for children.

The children listened to the story “Handymore” attentively.

The children attempted to answer in the game of distinguishing between good and bad contact.

Parents and children folded paper together to create clothes for the little boys and girls to protect their private parts.

 

Workshop Topic

“Magic Easter Eggs” Parent-child Easter Bath Ball DIY Workship

Objectives:

• Enhance parents’ understanding on the multi-sensory exploration of learning.
• Let parents enjoy the parent-child interaction by making bath balls together and thus promote the parent-child relationships.

Content:   

• Through experiential activity, parents can understand the benefits of multi-sensory exploration and master the skills of applying multi-sensory exploration learning methods in children’s daily life.
• Parents and children spend time making the “Magic Eggs” bath ball together after worker’s demonstration.

Highlights of the Event:

Parent and children added the ingredients for making the bath balls and thus mixed it carefully.

The bath ball material was ready! Parent and children cooperated together to put the material into the “eggshell” mold.

 

The “Magic Egg” bath balls were done! Parents and children were looking forward to the time when the bath balls are eventually dried and formed. They started planning when to use the bath balls together!
